TOURNAMENT ORGANIZER POLICY
Effective: 13 Sep 2025
Applies to: Any individual, group, company, association, college club, esports team, publisher, venue, or agency that creates, lists, promotes, or runs a tournament, league, show‑match, or event on/through THRYL (the “Organizer”).
SCOPE & HIERARCHY
1.1 Scope. This Policy governs any event created, listed, hosted, streamed, administered, or promoted on THRYL surfaces (site, App, API, creator channels managed by THRYL) or that uses THRYL sign‑ups, brackets, anti‑cheat, or payouts.
1.2 Hierarchy. Order of precedence: Signed IO/SOW/Organizer Agreement → this Policy → Terms of Use → Privacy Policy. If a signed IO contradicts the No‑RMG, Free‑to‑Enter, or Safety rules here, these rules control.
ELIGIBILITY & ACCOUNT
2.1 Organizer Types. Individuals (18+), groups, companies, student clubs, publishers, venues, agencies.
2.2 Verification. THRYL may require entity KYC (e.g., registration certificate, PAN/GSTIN), authorized signatory ID, and contact persons (ops, finance, safety).
2.3 Good Standing. Accounts with prior fraud, unpaid prizes, or rule evasion may be denied or suspended.
FREE‑TO‑ENTER, SKILL‑BASED ONLY
3.1 No Entry/Participation Fees. Organizers must not charge entry or participation fees to competitors on or through THRYL. Spectator ticketing for on‑ground events is allowed if clearly separate from player participation and compliant with law.
3.2 No Gambling/Fantasy/Betting/RMG. Strictly prohibited: buy‑ins, wagers, fantasy pick’ems, pools, betting partners, or any RMG mechanics, links, affiliates, or funnels.
3.3 Skill‑Based Outcomes. Match results must be determined by player skill under published rules; no pay‑to‑win mechanics impacting outcomes.
PRIZE POOLS, PAYOUTS & TAXES
4.1 Who Funds Prizes. Unless THRYL explicitly commits in writing, the Organizer is the sole funder of any prize pool it advertises. Listing an event on THRYL does not make THRYL a prize sponsor.
4.2 Prize Assurance Options.
Organizer‑Funded Direct Payout (default). Organizer pays winners directly and on time. THRYL is not liable for non‑payment, delays, or short‑payment.
THRYL Escrow/Managed Payout (if offered; region‑dependent). Organizer deposits the full prize pool with THRYL/processor before event start; THRYL handles winner payouts per verified results. Fees, timelines, and terms apply. If Organizer fails to fund escrow, THRYL may cancel or relabel the event.
4.3 Prize Types. Cash (INR), THRYL Token (convertible per Token Policy), THRYL Gems (non‑withdrawable; coupons/gift cards only), or approved in‑kind items. Organizers must accurately label prize types in listings.
4.4 KYC & Eligibility. Winners must complete KYC; names must match payout instruments. Minors’ payouts follow the Child Safety & Age Gate policy (typically non‑cash).
4.5 Taxes. Payouts/withdrawals may be subject to withholding (e.g., TDS) and reporting under law. If THRYL makes payouts, THRYL may deduct taxes and issue records. If Organizer pays, Organizer is responsible for deductions, filings, and certificates.
4.6 Timelines. Unless otherwise stated in the event card, Organizer‑paid prizes must be disbursed within 15 business days of results lock. Delays beyond 30 days may trigger penalties/suspension.
4.7 Changes & Cancellations. Any advertised prize change or event cancellation must be disclosed promptly to participants and THRYL; refunds are irrelevant for participation (free) but sponsorship/vendor obligations are Organizer’s responsibility.
EVENT LISTINGS & RULES
5.1 Accuracy. Provide truthful details: title, game/version/servers, regions, schedule, format, brackets, eligibility, prize split, tie‑breakers, moderation tools, and contact info.
5.2 Rulebook. Upload a clear rulebook (sample in Appendix A). Include anti‑cheat, disconnect policy, lateness, collusion, coaching, stream‑sniping, appeals, and admin authority.
5.3 Admin Authority. To preserve integrity, Organizer admins may make binding decisions per rulebook; THRYL may override or cancel where safety/legal risks exist.
5.4 Cheating & Exploits. Bans for cheats, macros, bots, hardware mods, scripting, or exploit abuse; see Section 7.
5.5 Eligibility Filters. Respect geo/age/platform restrictions and Child Safety & Age Gate rules.
BRAND‑SAFETY & SPONSORSHIPS
6.1 Category Bans. No sponsors, partners, or creatives from prohibited categories (e.g., RMG/gambling/fantasy, adult/explicit, tobacco/vapes, firearms/ammo, hate/extremism, deceptive health/finance).
6.2 Creative Controls. THRYL controls placement and adjacency on THRYL surfaces and may remove/replace unsafe creatives without liability.
6.3 Use of THRYL Marks. Follow the Trademark Policy. No co‑branding implying THRYL sponsorship without written approval.
FAIR PLAY, ANTI‑CHEAT & SAFETY
7.1 Anti‑Cheat. Use THRYL anti‑cheat hooks and game‑native tools where available; require participants to record matches or enable VODs if requested.
7.2 Collusion/Match‑Fixing. Strictly prohibited; suspected cases may be investigated; penalties include DQs, bans, prize forfeiture.
7.3 Player Conduct. Enforce Community Guidelines (harassment, hate, doxxing, threats → zero tolerance).
7.4 On‑Ground Safety. For physical events: ensure venue safety, insurance, medical aid, emergency plan, permits, and staff IDs; separate spectator and player areas; comply with local law.
DATA, PRIVACY & COMMS
8.1 Data Minimisation. Collect only what’s necessary (registration, eligibility, results). No selling or unauthorised sharing of participant data.
8.2 Allowed Use. Use participant data solely for event administration, safety, and lawful record‑keeping.
8.3 Messaging. No spam; use THRYL messaging tools responsibly.
8.4 Security. Protect any exports (CSV, brackets) with access controls; delete when no longer needed.
8.5 Minors. Additional parental consents are required for Teens (13–17); under‑13 not permitted.
CONTENT, BROADCAST & IP
9.1 Rights. Organizer warrants it has rights to all assets (logos, music, footage) and grants THRYL a licence to host, transcode, broadcast, record, and monetise event content across THRYL surfaces (live/VOD/highlights).
9.2 Creator Conduct. Sponsored content must include clear disclosures (#ad).
9.3 Takedowns. Upon receiving a valid IP complaint, THRYL may remove content and pause the event pending review.
PAYMENTS, FEES & INVOICING (ORGANIZER → THRYL)
10.1 Platform Fees. THRYL may charge listing, tooling, escrow, payout, or moderation fees as disclosed in writing.
10.2 Invoices. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are NET 15; late fees 1.5% per month (or legal max).
10.2 Invoices. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are NET 15; late fees 1.5% per month (or legal max).
10.3 Chargebacks/Fraud. THRYL may withhold payouts and offset amounts in cases of fraud, misrepresentation, unpaid prizes, or policy breaches by the Organizer.
ENFORCEMENT, SUSPENSION & TERMINATION
11.1 Controls. THRYL may pause sign‑ups, hide listings, disable payouts, or cancel events for suspected violations, safety/legal risk, lack of funding, or brand‑safety concerns.
11.2 Organizer Breach. Material breaches (e.g., non‑payment of prizes, RMG links, false advertising) may result in suspension/termination, balance freezes, and platform bans.
11.3 Appeals. Use in‑app tools or email resident.grievance@thryl.io with event ID, facts, and evidence. Ack in 24 hours; decision targeted within 15 days.
